Last Step to Effective Family Unity: Have Fun Together

Have Fun Together:

All families look forward to leisure time, every once in a while. Filling up the spare time with recreations can offer freshness, love, and unity-driven environment to household members. Also, a time-off is often a wise idea to shun burnout and monotony. Some common family pastimes include sharing and laughing at jokes, outing, spending vacation overseas and watching television/movies together.

Second Step to Effective Family Unity: Understanding

Proactive Understanding:

In domestic life, proactive understanding of fellow members greatly matters. This phase is concomitant feeling/reaction of the listener after bilateral communication with the speaker. Once the speaker’s words are out, they require more than just listening, in fact, they entail respect and further consideration by the listener as well. This act is called proactive understanding. In consequence of this attitude, companionship is realized, similarities are shared and dissimilarities are respected or reduced among family members.

Suicidal Explosion in Lahore

Ring Ring, Ring Ring…”Hello!”, my Mother says. “Are you guys fine?”, asks my mother’s relative. “Yes…why?”, my Mother replies.

A bomb blast just took place in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park, Lahore (my city), Pakistan. 60 people, mostly women and children, have died and 200 others have been wounded. Even though rescue reached there, this toll is expected to increase, say the doctors at hospitals.

Due to a suicidal bombing, small feet, with their bags hung at their back, won’t be able to go to school anymore, or anywhere. Families may have perished. Many may have faced a loss and will be at depression; just because of a single, ignorant fool.

Let us hope for the best of this world, and pray for others.
